Alex I'd love to see a fitness app that had these things: My fitness pal doesn't allow you to input what time you ate a meal. That would be a nice feature. It syncs with my Jawbone Up which I like. It also doesn't allow you to delete favorite foods. They seem to be stuck there forever and that is not good. If your new app addressed those things that would be great.

I use MFP. My doctor told me to watch my Protein and net carbs. Not to worry about my calories. MFP helps me with that and my exercise. I am still learning how to use it....

On MFP I have noticed that every day it is telling me that I am not meeting my goal for intake and that it could prevent me from losing. I simply CAN NOT take in what it says I am alotted, nor do I care to! Is there any way to tell it that I have a much smaller caloric intake goal now that I am a bari patient? Or do I just have to keep ignoring what it's telling me??

MFP is not set up for bariatric patients. It is set up for the typical 1200-1660 calorie diet. When you eat less than that it give that warning message. Simply ignore it

You can set up the time you eat when you are setting up your food diary. Go to settings>Food and Exercise Diary Settings and scroll down to midway.

@@BLERDgirl Thanks, I see the settings you are referring to. But it doesn't allow me to put in the actual time I ate lunch today for instance. Maybe I have lunch set for 11:30 - 1:30 but I'm running late that day and I want to put in 2:00pm. I don't see where you can do that

@@Ivanova8 - I understand now. I never needed to enter the exact time I eat. I just mentally make a note to eat 3-4 hours after Breakfast. I suppose you could use your phone and just log in on the calender. If you find an app that works the way you want, could you post it here? I'd be interested in seeing it.

@@tiffanyaok Thanks Tiffany. Do you like using the app?

I do wonder though why they picked a donut and a wine glass for their food and drink icons. Visually that's definitely not helpful.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
