kourtany93 6 Posted March 28, 2011 I'm going to be banded on March 31st. Just like some people, I"m extremely nervous. I was just wondering what should I expect that day? Also is there anything that I should bring from home? I've heard some people like to bring pillows.
reverie 49 Posted March 28, 2011 Are you spending the night? Bring a loose pair of pants (ie. pajama/sweat pants) a t-shirt, and slippers/socks to go home in/walk around in. A pillow to hold against your stomach on the ride home is a good idea. Bring your Gas-X, maybe a book/iPod/cell phone/laptop if you'll be staying overnight. Good luck! vlp1968 83 Posted March 28, 2011 Pillow is great for the ride home. You might want to bring chapstick. My lips got really dry becase I wasn't allowed to drink even Water until the did a barium swallow. Congrats on your impending surgery!
KelseyBoo 0 Posted March 30, 2011 Pillows are a must! When I got out of surgery and was able to walk, a nurse gave me one to put on my stomach to help me sit down and get up and also for the ride home as others were saying. It helps a lot. But I didn't know what to bring, so I didn't have one, but they were nice enough to let me keep it. Good luck with your surgery! You'll do great I don't think you have anything to worry about!
