bwhitty 1 Posted March 28, 2011 Saw this on TV and thought I'd try them, they are 180 calories but a nice treat. 1 box of Devil food cake mix 1 can of pumpkin puree (not the pie mix) mix it together and put in muffin cups, bake 400 for 20mins these come out super moist (still eat it slowly ) I top with a little lite cool whip, yummy treat
Rainydayz 3 Posted March 28, 2011 I have heard of that recipe but haven't had the nerve to try it yet. I might see if my kids will eat them. At least it will give them a little veggie in their dessert!
bwhitty 1 Posted March 28, 2011 they are super moist and you don't even know there is pumpkin in it. They just might love them
TerriF 9 Posted April 4, 2011 they are super moist and you don't even know there is pumpkin in it. They just might love them I have made these many times. Your right you don't even know there is pumpkin in them the pumpkin keeps them moist. I use the low sugar cake mix, add 2 eggs and and 1 cup of dark chocolate mini chips and bake them in the mini baking pans and they are 35 calories each. I am so glad I saw this tread as I might not have remembered them.
Lady Lexie 4 Posted May 2, 2011 This sounds so yummy. When I can start eating solids i am definitely going to try this!
ttny007 29 Posted May 2, 2011 Here is something better: Take a box of fat free brownie mix and one can of black Beans. Put the Beans in the blender liqud and all and puree them. mix them and the box of brownie mix and in a bowl and blend together. (don't put anything in the brownie mix but the beans) bake as usual and cut into squares. they are very high in Fiber and fat free. Saw this on TV and thought I'd try them, they are 180 calories but a nice treat. 1 box of Devil food cake mix 1 can of pumpkin puree (not the pie mix) mix it together and put in muffin cups, bake 400 for 20mins these come out super moist (still eat it slowly ) I top with a little lite cool whip, yummy treat

TKW 501 Posted May 3, 2011 I would love to try, but alas... my chocolate addiction would not allow me to eat just one!
Tricia Lewis 0 Posted May 17, 2011 If you do like pumpkin.. you could also do the recipe with a box of spice cake mix and pumpkin puree.. YUMMY
Bryn 3 Posted May 28, 2011 I made these and the pumpkin taste is insanely strong. i didn't even use the full amount of the recommended pumpkin. it's tolerable, but i made a batch to take to work to share with co-workers, and i could never take them because i don't think folks would like them
ALG72711 0 Posted August 11, 2011 I have tried the devil's food cake and pumpkin muffins and they are delicious! Even my husband loved them! :-) I think I'm going to try putting the chocolate chips in next time. I'll have to try the brownie recipe.
