Hi there! I was banded yesterday morning and have had a sore throat since. I realize they have to intubate you so this can happen but how long will this last? I now have a very high pitched squeeky voice and sometimes the words don't come out at all. I also seem to have a lot of mucus in my throat that just won't seem to come out, though I keep trying to cough it up (gently as possible). Anyone else have these issues? Thanks very much!!

Cough drops, cough drops and cough drops. I had one in my mouth non-stop for 2 days. It really did help.

My throat was sore for about 3-4 days. Sf Popsicles helped. I now feel bad when I intubate animals.

Mine lasted about 3-4 days also. I used cloraseptic spray and sucked on popsicles.

For me it lasted about two-three days. I would watch out on cough drops though. You don't want to swallow one accidentally! sugar free popsicles were so awesome. I forgot I had them until day three and it was heaven to eat one!!
