I am 3.5 months out & eat .5-1.5 cups 5 times a day. I have lost 40 pounds so far. I make sure to get in at least 65g of Protein & 64 oz of Water daily but don't really track calories or carbs. I usually eat .5 cup of food per meal right after a fill (just had my 3rd, now 5.5 in a 10cc band) and once I am struggling to keep the quantity per meal to a cup or less I know I need another fill. Working for me so far.

My Calcium is hard to space out because it's just a single chew. Same with the others. I think it would be difficult to eat only a part of it and wrap the rest up for later since they're so small. I'm post-menopause so Iron is not a necessity for me. In fact, I was told if I could find multis without Iron that would be better.

Centrum Silver (no iron) comes in a pill and a chewable.< /p>

How much calcium do they have you taking? I'm also post-menopausal and they want me taking 1500mg a day. I take 3 500 mg doses.. morning, noon, night.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
