kll724 3,055 Posted April 21, 2011 I would wait until after you lose the weight! I have gone from 44dd to 36 d, and lost about 100 lbs, I am actually about a 34, but more comfortable in 36. Karen
Lollicatt 36 Posted April 25, 2011 Im about the same size as you and im going to wait until after I get surgery to make my decision about a reduction. Like someone said earlier, you don't want to be left with nothing!! In addition, cups sizes, even at the same letter, arent the same size, it scales with the size around your chest. So a 40dd and 38dd are not the same cup size.
StrangeDz 1 Posted April 27, 2011 I am down 100 pounds and my cup size has not changed at all??? Lucky you! I've lost 118 lbs and went from a 44DD to a 40B! OMG I have soooooooo much loose skin and my boobs are a saggy floppy embarrassment! Sigh.... maybe implants are in my future....
Soon2bContent 1 Posted May 25, 2011 I've always been a bigger breasted gal, 46jj at a weight of 294lbs. I am now down to 215.8lbs and my breast have gone down dramatically. I would wait if I were you, I'm a 40dd cup now. Who knew!
mauraclegg 29 Posted May 26, 2011 I started at around a 44DD+ have lost 80 pounds and I am a 38DD now, so no cup change here. Just lost pants size, shoes size and shirt size
weightinggame 23 Posted May 28, 2011 Well I lost all my weight, now weigh 110 pounds at 5 ft 3. I had 32 G breasts. My back gradually reduced but my cup did not until the last 14 pounds of weight went. I discovered that an FF cup is not actually the same in a 28 back as it was in a 32 back, it is proportionally smaller. I am about to go for an uplift and have been told I am likely to lose at least a cup size because some of what is left in my cup size is of course excess skin so they didn't think I needed a reduction. Funnily enough I don't look too big anymore even though my 28 back is the same a teenagers lol still struggle to get sexy bras at this size just as I did when I was a big lady tho. Can't win em all tho can you.
shannon_elizabeth 1 Posted April 26, 2012 I'm 5'2 and my starting weight was 220 with a size 38DDD. I'm down to 145 and I'm a 34DD. They have kept the same proportion with my body but for a 20 yr old my boobs look like they belong on someone much older due to the sagging skin. So I say wait until after your weight loss. Good luck! 1 PhatKat1127 reacted to this
Kiskis 56 Posted April 29, 2012 I am down 110 lbs & 12 lbs from goal. Down from a 42 G to a 38 DD. I am needing a lift & fat sucked out the side as i have to fold & stuff my boobs as they are down to my waist. I love my new body & will feel better with the sag gone. I am 45 yrs old and i would be in this boat as i was always going to have a reduction. I am waiting for approval. Hope i don't have to wait to long. The wait list i heard is up to 2 yrs. Fingers crossed!
weightinggame 23 Posted April 29, 2012 Well ladies I'm all finished! I had my breast lift. Size changed altogether as my back size somehow increased and my cup size reduced. Initially I ended up as a 32f but one breast after just the lift was a cup size bigger than the other. My areola pulled a little out of shape due to the stitches on the same side but my surgeon agreed to a free revision and reduction of the right breast after all swelling had gone. It took 6 months but I got done under local in January and I have perfect and equal 32e's now. Had my tum and legs done at the same time as my 1st surgery and it's all healing well. Went on my first summer holiday since the surgery 3weeks ago. It was amazing to turn a few heads in my teeny weeny bikini at the age of 40! Should have experienced that at 20 but I don't care, at least I've experienced in my lifetime. I love my new body. My band is empty and my life is wonderful. I'm maintaining all by myself as I have no restriction and I'm so so happy. Good luck to you all xxx 1 Harrier's Woman reacted to this
m1aman 944 Posted April 29, 2012 Don't you think you ladies are the only ones with boob problems. Mine have gone from "chubby pecs" to almost flapjacks. 3 Cazzy, Harrier's Woman and TexasSoccerMom reacted to this

It's not nice whatever your gender. Hope you might be able to look into doing something for yourself. I did and still do strength training with a personal trainer x3 per week to see if I could improve it without surgery. It helped a bit but after 2yrs it was clear it was just wrecked skin that would never spring back so I know where you are coming from x
formerfatgirl 30 Posted May 9, 2012 i started off around a 44 DDD and since then i have lost almost 140 lbs. i am currently a 34C and i weigh 138 pounds. i can say that my boobs have DEFLATED to nothing lol. i am definitely planning to get a boob job within the next 2 years because it is depressing to me. it's entirely up to you, but i would wait and see how the weight loss goes until a decision is made. once you lose the weight, there is excess skin EVERYWHERE and that would mean a second surgery. Jess55 97 Posted May 9, 2012 I started off a 44DD, now down to a 36D. Unfrotunately my breasts went from saggy DD, to saggy and flat D's. Which I think actually without the skin, I might even be a C cup. I've always wanted a lift and a reduction. Now I don't need the reduction, but I'm still wanting a lift eventually. I'm hoping that when the time comes, I can afford to have the extra skin around my waist removed and my boobs lifted. I'm not sure if I'll go for a full TT, because honestly I doubt I could afford it, and I have no plans to ever wear a bikini, I just want the skin gone. armymom2012 51 Posted May 10, 2012 Honestly, I would wait. Even though I was over weight, I always was blessed with nice girlz:) Now that I have lost 43#, I have had to buy all new bras, because they were the first to go and lets just say, they are not as perky anymore like before. If it were me, I'd wate and see how your body reacts to weight loss first and then maybe you will only need to have a lift if anything. A friend of mine had a reduction years ago, depending on how much you need to get rid of, it can be a pretty painful surgery. My back hurt as well, amazing what weight loss can do to lose your aches and pains as well.
katlu15545 0 Posted May 15, 2012 Hi, I had a reduction two years ago and before surgery my doctor asked me if I planned on doing lapband surgery. at that time I was not planning on doing it, he stated to me if I was planning on doing lapband he would wait for me to do the reduction because of weight lose. Now that I have made the choice to do lapband I wonder what size my breast will end up at. Before reduction I was an H, now I am a C. If I had to do it all over again I would wait till after the band to do a reduction.
