I am 44 5'4" 273.6 start point and now 242.6 3/18/

themons 0 Posted March 28, 2011 i talked to him before about it he told me no straight up and i fought with his nurse i was in tears begging for help hopfully *fingers crossed * he will allow me to get it this time i got my orthopedic surgeon to write him a letter suggesting the lap band for me You know what...all else fails, and you're able to, change doctors. I thought my doctor wasn't taking me seriously when I told him I was interested in lapband surgery. But, once I kept bringing it to his attention, he referred me for consideration for surgery. Whella, have had the surgery and am beginning my journey to a healthier me. Again, consider a different doctor; might be a solution to your situation. Are you diabetic, or do you have an extenuating health problem that your doctor may think you would be at risk if you had the surgery?
