Going Full Circle with your Weight Loss

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys!

I'm scheduled to see a plastic/reconstructive surgeon next week although wanted to check a couple of things with you all if you have a moment please.

I've lost around 85 kilos and am at my goal weight after having a band installed two and a half years ago. As a result of the weight loss I have excess skin around my stomach and breasts that I am hoping to get fixed up with the surgeon.

I get sores under both my breasts and stomach as a result of the excess skin (disgusting, I know, but it's also painful and uncomfortable).

1. Can this be classified as reconstructive? I am hoping to get a Tummy Tuck and implants to fill up the excess skin in my breasts, and also to lift them up.

2. Can you get item numbers from medicare if it's classified as reconstructive?

3. Has anyone been through this process and can comment on the costs, what you can get back with full cover private health cover as well as talking about their experience and thoughts on it all?

Thank you so much. I really appreciate any help you can offer.

Ausbandit

Hi - I have only had a TT which was partially covered by Medicare. My hospital stay was covered by my health insurance (NIB) - I only had to pay my excess. My surgeon allowed me to advise what I could afford to pay for my operation and we came to an agreed amount. My total out of pocket expenses were about $7k. I am very happy with my results and will be going back hopefully later this year to have my upper arms done and a breast lift too! Good luck!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
