I'm doing so good on my weight loss but I have yet to start exercising. I know, I know I need to.

I just can't seem to find time to fit it in. I have 3 kids and I go to college full time. Most days I can't even find time to get all my homework done much less exercise.

Where do you fit it in at?

I usually go in the morning. I don't have the energy to go after work. I used to sleep in on days I was off or worked late, but find I no longer can do so, I wake up about 8-8:30.

If I don't go to the gym in the morning then I won't go later. So always in the morning.

I am so not a morning person but have found that is the only time that works for me. I also noticed I have more energy throughout the day if I exercise first thing in the morning.

I try to going the morning after I take my kids to school. I just walk outside am the track or around town. Otherwise I won't do it.

Same for me- I am fortunate to have an elliptical at home, so every other day I am on it 7am doing a program that takes 33 minutes. I want to do the 30 day challenge on my Wii, but just haven't pushed myself hard enough. I agree that it really does help w the energy level doing it 1st thing. Good luck!

At 6PM each day. There's always time for exercise. Break it into 15 minute increments or something. :)

I eat at my desk during the day and use my half hour lunch to go for a walk, this gets me exercising and away from the office for a while. I try to go for at least another half hour after tea in the evening when it is getting a bit cooler but now that summer has gone it is getting dark earlier so i am looking at a 24 hour gym option. Just weighing up the cost. My clinic offers a 30 week "rehab" program and that is great, once a week we get admitted to the hospital as day patients and do a 1 1/2 hr program of cardio, weights and hydro. It is in the evening so it fits in well. Yes it takes some dragging to get there some weeks but always feel great after wards. And it is all covered under my health insurance.

Good luck, and remember when there is a will, there is a way. You will find a time that fits in.

I am a mother of three, wife and full time student also :) I am almost 15 weeks post-op and finally started exercising about a week ago. Luckily my kids are 11-17 so they are pretty self sufficient and that allows me time to exercise. I finally bought a treadmill so I would have no more excuses not to exercise. Three days a week I get up at 5 am to walk 2 miles, and 3 days a week I do it in the evening. Twice when I walked in the morning I also walked in the evening an extra mile. I am ready to tone up some of my starting to sag skin so I am now very motivated. Great job on the weight loss, keep up the great work, and good luck with school :)

I squish it in in the late afternoon, early evening. For me, I am so not a morning person, there's no way I will ever get up at 5 am to go running. I can go in the morning on a weekend, just need to be up an hour or so first. I find mornings with 3 kids to get to school are just too busy if I'm working. My kids are 8, 13, and 15 so I can just leave them and I also have a treadmill at home. I just make sure dinner's ready to go, either its a freezer meal from something I cooked on another day or all the prep is done.We never eat till about 7 so the kids are just used to that.

At the moment I'm not working and I can make a leisurely trip to the gym at 10 or so in the morning, but early evening is still my favourite time to run, I have the most energy then.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
