Jessrosec3 0 Posted March 12, 2011 So I literally just joined...i have been reading the things people have been posting for a few days now and have found it so helpful! I think this is probably the best idea for people to come together and share their stories and support each other. Im here for the same reason everyone else is.....to share my story and get the infomation and support i need to get through this. I have already gone to the seminar and have my consultation with the surgeon this tuesday march 15th. Any advice?

KristiAnn25 0 Posted March 12, 2011 Hello, I just joined this morning as well. I am waiting for pych eval to be sent to clinic and then sent to insurance. I realy hope it doesn't take to long as my insurance runs out soon. I will be 26 at the end of april. I realy think i need this surgery to live. I have high cholestoral. My triglycerides were over 600! My blood sugar was a little high too at the last check. My weight is 271lbs and I'am 5'7". I have a long history of diabetes and heart disease in my family and no one has been as big as me. If i don't have this surgery i think i will be dead by 35. I also have joint problems in my knees and ankles that have bothered me since high school and lower back pain. I have a lot of concerns of the aftermath of the surgery. Will i like my body? Will my boobs look like pancakes? Will people realy treat me differenty? And unfortuantly I'm afraid of dating afterwards. Is this guy just wanting to go out with me because i lost weight? These are the questions I am hoping to answer on here. thankyou for any replies.

I work 3rd shift which makes everything way more difficult. im always tired, get sick alot, have trouble sleeping and im never eating or drinking what i should. fortunately i quit smoking and drinking but after quiting i gained more weight. I also have polycystic ovarian syndrome (pcos) which also makes it difficult to lose weight. So I know how you feel. Hopefully we can stick together and get through this )

Lady_Dragyn 2 Posted March 15, 2011 Good luck to you both. I think we all had a lot of the same concerns mentioned in your messages. Best of luck in making a great decision for you!
