Where is your saggy skin?

Recommended Posts

What's your age?

How much have you lost?

& Where is your saggy skin??

Did you try any lotions and fail? Any creams you think work? And I hear swimming helps too, is that true??

20. 112lbs. My tummy mostly. Haven't tried any of those as they're generally a waste of money. Once the skin is stretched it's stretched. No lotion is going to fix that. Weight-lifting can help otherwise plastic surgery is the answer.

I'm 31 yrs old will be 32 weekend after next! I've lost 101 lbs ! Yes I have saggy skin under my arms and my stomach! I lift weights so I'm hoping it firms up but I'm afraid I will have plastic surgery! But I will wait till I've lost all my weight and I've had another baby! No I haven't used the creams.

You can tone the muscle under the skin, but you can't do anything about the saggy skin. It's all about how long you were overweight, how much you were overweight and mostly...genetics.

I'm 35 and have lost 90-some lbs. I'm going to have to have plastic surgery on my stomach, no doubt. My arms are starting to get a little turkey waddle going on too, but it's liveable.

But the saggiest part of me? My boobs. That was pretty true before (I was a 46 H), but it's definitely true now that I'm down to a 38DD. All that fat-loss has left them sagalicious.

Creams/etc. are a waste of money on this type of problem but if it's something cheap, why not use it anyway.

For me the worst of it is my inner thighs, Oh and I think it took a toll on my face. I keep telling my DH I gain a year in my face for every 10lbs I lose.

I am 45 and my belly is the worst......I have had several abdominal surgeries so it is all lopsided and saggy. I am having issues in the skin folds so my surgeon's office says that a panniculectomy would be covered by insurance....so I see one in my future once I get to goal.

My arms and boobs have also suffered......

My arms!! Oh my gosh! They are very bad. It's not just the flappy underarm thing, but also skin that looks like I am 100 years old!!

So many things make us all different when it come to where we sag.

For me : I have only been pregnant one time in my life and I was 16-17 years old. I only gained 19 pounds and carried my baby 9 1/2 months. I hardly looked pregnant. I weighed in at 160 pounds the day I delivered. I am 5'7" tall. My baby is now 28 1/2 years old :) I am 46 and have lost 111 pounds. I have done more than my share of tanning in my life and am now paying the price for all thet sun damage. My skin does not spring back like other bandster's skin might. I'm not sure I will ever have plastic surgery. I am just enjoying the weightloss and a new skinny life!

I'm only 2 1/2 months into my journey and lost most of my 35 pounds around my shoulders and face. Yes.. I've now got only ONE chin, however, I've notice my neck is not looking good. I'm 54 so I guess I should expect some aging! I am dreading what my arms are going to look like when I lose more weight.... a scary thought! sad.gif Starting to do weights; hopefully that will help.

My boobs and my stomach are literally hideous. My legs are pretty bad. I work out a ton so my arms and back look good. Plastic surgery here I come! I couldn't be in better shape really so that's my only option at this point.

I'm 43 and lost 130lb, my saggy skin problem is very minimal. I'm more "flabby" than I would have been if Id never been overweight but still way better than a lot of women that have never been overweight but have had several pregnancies. I was very lucky. I can put on a bikini without too much embarrassment.

There's a couple of little areas. Just under my chin is a little flappy bit. In the crook of my elbows the skn wrinkles unattractively when I bend my arm. And my backside - I have very toned legs and buttocks from all my running, you can see this high, rounded buttock and this kind of little curtain of skin that droops off it - in tight jeans I have a seriously good booty, naked ugh, not so much. And my boobs - I've dropped to a small C cup and they're really just flaps of skin - i cant wear a push up bra becuase the breast tissue is so soft it just spills out the top, it doesnt plump up like they're supposed to when pushed together.

Mind you, I've gone right down to a BMI of 19, too skinny, due to unrelated illness, and its been the last 20lb that really highlighted those problems (apart from the boobs).

I am 42 and have lost 107 pounds. I have been maintaining since Sept. 2010. I agree that there is really nothing you can do about extra skin short of plastic surgery. Once the skin has lost it's elactisity, no excersise or cream will bring it back. I have had a Tummy Tuck and boob job. I am thrilled with the results. My face has some serious wrinkles now. I have a facelift scheduled for April 8. I can't wait! My arms also have "bat wings". I will get them done next. I have a little bit of sagging skin on my thighs but it doesn't bother me much.

i don't have much sagging skin except for my arms... and its not bad enough for me to do anything about it (right now at least)!

I am 44 and have lost 60 lbs, banded 07/14/2010. I don't really have any sagging skin. I have noticed that as my stomach goes down it has kind of dropped into this little sag of what I guess is fat that still needs to burn off! Overall that is the only body part that is not cooperating with my weight loss. When does the stomach go AWAY? LOL... I seem to be stuck at this 60 lbs for the last 2 months and I still have 30 more to lose... Any suggestions?

Wow where do I begin? I have the stomach "apron", a large flap there. I have bat wings under my arms. My inner thighs look like someone let the air out of a balloon. I have no doubt I will be having plastic surgery but not for several years. I only use a firming cream for my neck/chin. I can tell a difference from days I use it and days I don't. Other than using duct tape to hold it in and up (LOL) just going to deal with it. Tuck it and tape it, I say!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
