PamRN 0 Posted January 9, 2006 someone tried to sell a band on ebay? New I hope! several years ago a human liver was listed, it got to over a million $ before ebay pulled the plug on it.
Iluvharleys 15 Posted January 9, 2006 Glad to hear that!
Alexandra 55 Posted January 9, 2006 Good! I hope Inamed gets their hands on whoever did it. Gray market medical supplies should NEVER be listed on ebay.
Penni60 45 Posted January 9, 2006 I am almost positive they had something to do with it. Too many of us reported the issue to them. They assured me via email they were on top of it. So I am sure they had it pulled.
dylansmom 27 Posted January 9, 2006 Thank God!!! That kind of behavior is reprehensible! SHAME ON THEM!!!
CCBSTX 0 Posted January 10, 2006 I know my surgeon was aware of the items on ebay for sale. He emailed Inamed and they were already aware as well! Obviously, a good decision. Shawn

NeenBand 7 Posted January 11, 2006 Was the seller suspended?
styler96 0 Posted January 12, 2006 I have a friend that works at ebay in the investigation and fraud department. She said that she was not aware of it being a problem unless they get complaints from the company. They sell a lot of medical equipment and it probably did not raise any red flags because they weren't familiar with the band. They have so many lists on ebay they can not check every single one, and since there were no key words that would be questionable they would not check it out unless they had complaints. So I don't think the seller would be suspended.
NeenBand 7 Posted January 12, 2006 I suggest we keep an eye on that particular seller to see if they list bands again.
