btorres0698 0 Posted March 9, 2011 I was banded on August 23 2010.At my last doctor visit I had lost 9lbs bringing my total up to 39 lbs. At this visit I got 0.5cc added to my 10cc band for at total of 6 cc. While in the office, he had me drink a cup of Water after the fill and it went down fine. I followed a liquid diet for 48 hours . When I started back eating solids i couldnt keep hardly any of it down. After a few bites if I didnt stop eating it would come back up. So I went back to the doctor and had 0.25cc removed. This brought alot of relief and I was able to eat. However, now I am eating alot. I still dont feel like I am having any restriction.I have an appointment scheduled for 3/21 should i try another fill or just wait 6 more weeks to my appointment after that. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.
dits4golf 0 Posted March 9, 2011 If u r still losing weight, stay where u r. Fill only if static or gaining. Listen 2 your body. My Pop use to say "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." I'm losing approx 1/2 # per week & haven't had a fill in 6 mos.
corinnerae 0 Posted March 9, 2011 I had a similar thing happen, but I was having problems with liquids too. Way too tight right after the fill. I decided to wait a couple of days since I had a fill on a Friday, and was planning to go in on Monday to have Fluid removed if it wasn't better. I think mine was due to swelling after the fill, because after a few days it got better. If you are still losing, I would say to wait to get a fill. If you are not, maybe a .25 fill. I haven't had a fill for three months now, and I know I am ready for one again. I am at 7 months post op now. My "filler" told me last month that I might be due for a fill again this month because you "lose weight inside and outside". I thought that was kind of interesting. Good luck! Mimilou2004 13 Posted March 9, 2011 I agree with the others that if you are losing w/o a struggle hold off on the fill. Otherwise I think the 0.25ml adjustment would be a good idea. Good luck, Mimi
