I had surgery this morning and one of my incision opened up and was bleeding. I think my breast was rubbing on it and may have rubbed off the seal. They said they did stiched underneath and then used the dermabond to seal them. I called the nurse but she said that unless he starts oozing or opens up more not to worry about it. I bought some wound wash, but a bandage over it and got a stomach wrap to kind of hold everything in place. Im kind of worried about infection and of scaring but want to see if anyone else had the same experience.

This sometimes happens. keep the wound dry. After you shower (depending upon ypur surgeon's instructions as to when you can shower) pat dry. you might want to go to your local drug store and pick up some steri strips to place them over the incision, good luck.

I had this same trouble recently with the belly button incision after a laparascopic bowel resection. Trouble was, it was covered by the seal of the ileostomy bag and regularly getting full of sh*t! it did get a little infected but has eventually healed up completely (about 12 weeks). So I wouldnt worry if you're able to keep it clean and dry, it will close up, just watch for heat, redness and oozing.
