She won't release your records even with authorization from you? She won't release them TO you? This seems odd. Ask the Psych about this. Explain that it is causing a problem and see what she says.

I think she HAS to release your own records to you, if not to anyone else. What you do with them after that, is up to you.

Good Luck.

Hi.

I also have BC of Illinois and have had wait 12 months. I started monthly visits last year with my primary care doctor and have only one visit left!! I've also had apnea tests, nutrition counseling, a psych evaluation, and assorted other tests It's been a real long haul. We're hoping for a surgery date at the end of April.

Good luck to you.

I called my insurance company BCBS (PPO) to ask if the Lapband is covered and the person on the phone put me on hold and came back to say "no" your policy does not cover this surgery. I asked even if it is medical necessary she said "no" what in the world! I can't believe this I am going to a meeting at Northwestern and I must ask this question. I wonder if the company is giving me a hard time so that I will change my mind?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
