I think everybody is back in the saddle.....:clap2: .YEEEEEEHAAAAAA

I am proud to say that some ladies got out there and walked Saturday. I will let them say who they were......if you don't I will call you out:guess.

I did not, due to pressing matters of some children auditioning at Duke Ellington. I could have walked outside for the amount of time they were in there. Instead I sat outside with my eyes closed with my face towards the sun:) ........ahhhhhhhh:hippie: it was so amazing. Did you guys feel it?

Saturday I woke up not feeling right and I could go to Stack in a Sack and get fried potatoes, sausage, eggs and toast:puke: so I went to the track and walked by meself. I did 2 1/2 miles, I'm happy and I felt really good afterwards. A sense of accomplishment and those endorphins kicked in and ohhhh that's some good stuff. I see why LSasha is always walking:biggrin1: .....LOL

Oh yea my foot is feeling better. I can still feel it but it is less intense.:crutch:

It was such a nice day yesterday that the little man and I made it to "Da Point". I prefer weekdays better than weekends....less walkers, traffic (I can count how many cars passed us) and cyclists. It was practically empty and we enjoy every minute of it.

Good thread!

I did an hour of body sculpting with my iPodFitness trainer Jeanette Jenkins. She trains Queen Latifah and lots of other Hollywood stars and now she trains me on my iPod! Very fun.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
