Appmax54321 1 Posted March 7, 2011 I am 4 weeks out of surgery and making my transition from mushies to solids. I eat and sort of feel like I am getting full. That said, I could eat a lot more. Quantity is not an issue. I constrain myself so I don't stretch my stomach. I could clearly keep eating. I am having 1 to 1.5 cup at a meal - is that too much? I then feel hungry a half an hour later. Still losing weight at a rate of 2-3 per week. What's up????
eko 1 Posted March 7, 2011 Are you not drinking with your meals and then waiting about an hour or longer to drink? liquids help wash the food through the port. As you move to solids and eat Protein solids you will feel fuller sooner and longer. Also when you start receiving your fills, it will change as well. Do you have an appointment for your first fill? You can always call your Dr. and speak with a nutritionist.

I haven't gained either. I get very hungry after about 3 hrs. I am trying to motivate to joing a gym and get a routine started.
vlp1968 83 Posted March 7, 2011 2-3 pounds a week is excellent, especially since you don't have restricition. I would keep doing what your doing. It will only get better once you hit restriction. Keep up the good work!
