Multi-Vitamin - alternative to chewables

Recommended Posts

I just wanted to share that if I have to consume one more sour, chalky chewable Multi-Vitamin - I am going to puke. Probably literally.

I recently found One A Day Essentials that are specifically made small, for people that have issues swallowing pills (ie: Lapbanded Me!)

Green box...not to be confused with One A Day Energy....look for ESSENTIALS.

Hooray!

I have found VEGAN Deva brand mini Vitamin pills. They are tiny. I thought about the essentials, but am alergic to the red dye that they contain. Tired of having to chew gummies or avoid red dyes in the childrens versions.

I got mine from Amazon.com- they were 6 for 90 pills. I didn't get them for the vegitarian factor, I just have issues with colors and food additives. So far so good though. I signed up for the auto delievery (can be canceled at any time) and you get an additional discount. Goodluck. Let me know if you can't find it for some reason.

I just looked into these One A Day Vitamins, and they are about half of what the Bariatric Advantage Vitamins are, so I was wondering if you only took one a day or if you do or can take 2?

I'm a huge fan of http://www.nutrametrix.com/

Got them at my first seminar and was hooked since then.

So easy and better than any chewable/pill I found!

Just wanted to give you the good news... I use Isotonix crystallized vitamins/minerals and everything else healthy... you put a small capful in 2 oz. of Water and drink... easy breezy.

here's the website you can go to... www.marketamerica.com/dreamsdohappen and search Isotonix... they rock... and you can get cashback on the products as well... let me know if you have any other questions... good luck happy drinking!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
