butterflysRfree 0 Posted March 6, 2011 I'm two weeks out and have a question. At one week I had a terrible night where I had nausea and dry heeves. Later I realized I had eaten pudding that was too thick. Now a week later I can eat a lot! A whole cup of pureed Soup, soft beef or chicken. Do you think my band is working? Did I mess it up when I got sick? I'm worried.
TKW 501 Posted March 6, 2011 No, you should be fine. You can probably eat more because the initial swelling of your stomach after surgury has gone down. If you "hurt" your band, you'd know it by not being able to keep things down or having a lot of heart burn. Best of luck to you.

Mommyto1 1 Posted March 7, 2011 You should be fine. The first week around your band is swollen, so that's why my doctor had me on liquids only. Once I was past the liquids only phase, I was able to eat a lot more than I thought I would. If you just got banded, you really don't have much restriction. Just follow your doctors diet plan and you'll be fine.
honk 780 Posted March 7, 2011 Until you get some fills the band isn't really doing anything to prevent hunger. So I don't think it's broken.
