KimK813 2 Posted March 4, 2011 My six month bandiversary is Monday, March 7th and I am 1lb away from a total of 50lbs since my highest weight in April of '09. So that got me to thinking, measuring pounds is good, but what about that BMI the docs are always harping on. So I find this link: http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/bminojs.htm and I checked my Highest BMI, Current BMI, and Goal BMI. Here are my results: Highest: 272lbs 48.2 BMI Current: 223lbs 39.5 BMI Goal: 165lbs 29.2 BMI I am pretty pleased with myself and thought I would share. Anyone else? Good luck everyone! Jodi_620 37 Posted March 4, 2011 You should be pleased with yourself...you are doing great! We dropped almost the exact same amount of BMI points in the first six months so your progress seems to be close to what mine was. I thought I would post mine to give you an idea of a possible timeline: 40.2 start31.8 in (6 mos) 24.9-Normal (8 mos) 23.5-Initial goal (almost 1 yr.) 21.6- Current (almost 3 yrs.) Noturningback15 45 Posted March 4, 2011 That's great! I am very happy to be out of the 60's with my BMI! I have dropped over 10 points! Yippie! Still morbidly obese but better than before!
Humming Bird 275 Posted March 4, 2011 I went from a starting BMI of 41.3 to current BMI of 24 Whoo Hoo! One thing to keep in mind is that when you reach a BMI of 25 (normal weight) you have then lost 100% of your excess weight. If you drop lower than 25 you go over 100% of the excess!
