I'm back in Australia from my home in Indonesia for my niece's wedding next week and am staying at my son and daughter-in-law's home while I am there

My Granddaughter - 5 years old - said to me last nite - "Grandpa, I can sit on your knee now cause your tummy is not there any more"

Not to be outdone - 8 year old Grandson says - "Hey Grandpa - you're not fat any more"

I asked if I was not fat then what was I

He thinks for a minute and proudly announces that "You're not fat - you're FRUMPY"

From henceforth I am now known as Grandpa Frumpy :P:rolleyes:

When my nephew was a toddler he would try to pick things up that were to heavy. Like his baby brother. My sister would say "that's to big and heavy for you to pick up". He would then ask her to pick up what ever he wanted to move. He would say "Big and Heavy Momma pick it up!" My sister has always been a normal weight so I know this had to really irritate her!

Too cute. When my dad had his surgery my son who was 5 at the time and hadn't seen my dad for a while after the surgery went up and hugged him and said "your not my fat papa any more' I was horrified, but my dad took it all in stride and asked "well who am I?" My son instantly replied "your my skinny papa" to which my dad is known to this day 5 years later.

 I love these stories!!! Kids are really amazing with the names they come up with! In our family, we have a grandma kitty kat (she has a cat), a regular grandmom (she doesn't have a cat), and grandmom nay nay (she has horses!)

I would be flattered to be called the Frumpy, or Skinny or etc. when I used to be the fat one!! I guess my day will come...
