DeLarla 22 Posted January 8, 2006 I just spent 15 minutes looking up the calories in 1/2 cup cubed boiled chicken (pulled out of hubby's chicken Soup.) Fitday.com has every kind of chicken in the world except plain ol' chicken. Can anyone tell me the calories in chicken? Feel free to add calories for all common foods to help those of us who are going back to the 1980s and actually counting the things. Thanks!
DeLarla 22 Posted January 8, 2006 Bump, bump, bump... surely someone here knows how many calories in plain ol' chicken? HELP! People, I will not eat or breathe till you tell me!
Penni60 45 Posted January 8, 2006 Found this data. Hope it helps. This is for a 1/2 chicken breast, no skin, and boiled. www.nutritiondata.com
Jessiebear 2 Posted January 8, 2006 I have a book called the complete & up to date FAT BOOK. It has fat grams & calories of just about anything you can think of. Just ask me & I'll look it up for you!
Jessiebear 2 Posted January 8, 2006 My book says, for 3 oz. of chicken breast stewed, there are 2.9 fat grams & 144 calories.

DeLarla 22 Posted January 8, 2006 Thank you, thank you! My co-worker said I could have one of her extra calorie books (her son's diabetic so they count everything.) I'm hoping she remembers it tomorrow. For now, can someone help me with 1 cup steamed Alaskan King Crab? I saved it from New Year's Crab Fest, and it's so good on my amazing salad! Thanks everyone, I had a bitch of a time finding calories on-line without registering for another site. Thank you!
Alexandra 55 Posted January 8, 2006 According to my handy-dandy desktop Fitday program, one cup of hardshell crab, steamed, has 119 calories, 4 g fat, and 24 g Protein. Good choice!! (And that took me about 3 seconds to find.) I'm telling you, if you want to log your intake on a regular basis and really know what you're getting, get this program. (It's cheaper than a laser fix!) Alexandra 55 Posted January 9, 2006 re: Fitday.com...every time I start to register, there is the announcement that makes it sound like I'm trading my soul, let alone my xxx@address, just to access the site.... I already get tons of spam, etc....which my programs pretty well filter out....still I'm having to dump my trash several times a day.... Has there been any uptick in your unwanted email since signing on to fitday? Another reason to buy the program. I imagine buying it for home use keeps your identity separate from those of the website users--after all, you won't be seeing the online advertising and won't count in their webview stats. Sunta 5 Posted January 9, 2006 Another really good Website for counting calories is www.calorieking.com. I don't think I've ever been on there and not found what I was looking for.
