~.~Accountability~.~ for those of us really struggling

Recommended Posts

If you have read my posts you will see that I have been having a REALLY hard time doing anything regarding weight loss. The fact is I realize...okay I think i realized it before, but am ready to admit that I was sabatoging myself on purpose. I was not even TRYING to loose weight.

So here is my idea. I need some accountability. If enough people are interested we can start this thread by coming on here and posting one or two goals for your day. Something that you can accomplish within on day. Then at the end of the day come back and report if you have succeeded and cheer on the ones who have and be here for the ones who didn't.

MY GOALS FOR TODAY:

1. I will drink 8 bottles of Water today.

2. Clean out my closet (not weight related but a goal for the day nonetheless)

I hate this thread!

I'll walk the dogs and do my exercises.

I'll get through the buckets of paperwork & bills in my office (this is the part I hate.) YUCK!

Celest, you dare to take on 2 rooms AND 60 minutes on the treadmill? And I'm up against you in my own weightloss challenge? Can't you just watch a movie marathon on the couch today?

Ooh this is getting good guys! And makes me want to up my daily goal.

Today I will...

1. Drink 6 (16.9 oz) bottles of Water

2. Not eat after 7 o'clock

3. Do my stairs (intentionally) 5 times up and down today (I live on the third floor)

DeLarla, what kind of dogs do you have? Could you be more specific about buckets of paperwork? Like how many stacks will you be working on? Or you will be consitantly working for how long?

Celest, your treadmill goal motivated me to do the stairs, thanks!

Ooh or we could do the movie thing? What are we going to watch? :)

Damn, damn, damn! It's 12:26 and I've made every excuse in the book to put off working in this room full of papers. Since last posting I've made a huge batch of homemade chicken Soup, Rice Krispy Treats, Fudge and Peanut Brittle (for poor hubby going out of mind - hasn't smoked in 24 hrs.) I've done laundry, cleaned out kitchen cupboards, mopped, scrubbed kitchen. Anything, ANYTHING but dealing with this 2 foot high stack of papers! I will now take doggies for walk to the park and do the exercise, but Celest, I don't know if I can meet my own goals! I'd pay anybody $500 to make this pile disappear. I don't even know what's in there... tax stuff, Slumber stuff, bills, checks - who knows? I'm just afraid of it!

Come on Lisa you can do it. For $500, I can fly to Vegas and do your paperwork. Us anal accountants get into that!!

I did my 60 minutes on the treadmill - wearing shoes with 3 pounds weights in each of them. It took 4 hours - but I got it done.

I emptied out the medicine cabinet, toilet topper, etc; took off some wallpaper in the bathroom, - and then I called the painter/varnish guy and a tile guy. They are coming to give me estimates Monday night on the bathroom and finishing the bedroom stuff. I cheated!!

Lisa, take them fur babies for a walk. I miss Schnapps so much - its been 10 days and I still cry a few times a day..... Celeste

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
