Basement is done. Oh it looks and smells so much better. I even mopped down there! Laundry is almost finished, last load in the dryer. I still have to bathe the dog. I have already drank 64oz of Water, so everything else is a plus....yeah for me.

WoW! MaudeisPam that is AWESOME and encouraging. Keep up the great work! I'm still working on my Water and have yet to do the stairs but i'll get it done after dinner (to redirect my thoughts away from desert) and onto excersize.

DeeDee and With the band, how are you guys doing today? Glad you jumped in on this with us. Lisa! You can do this you can do it. Think about how good you will feel once you get it done. Figure out a way to reward yourself once it is done, hey if you'd pay 500.00 why not take 20 and go get your nails done, or 100 and go to a spa tomorrow. The papers won't disappear, tomorrow won't be a better day to do them. You committed yourself for a reason and from reading your posts I can tell you are the kind of person who follows through. DO NOT GIVE UP. Sounds like your doing great with everything else. Idea, why not set your timer for 20 minutes go in there and work until the timer goes off and then stop. That way you've done your paperwork and a chunk of it will be gone.

Ug, it's not just paperwork. It's note and repairs and packages needing to be shipped to Switzerland & NJ, reservations needing to be made, 5 vehicle registrations, taxes, business and God knows what. Here, it's all yours!

Doggies have been walked, 100 sit ups, weights, etc. I'd gladly exercise all over again instead of dealing with this...

OH! Wow you really did mean buckets! YUCK! Why not take half out and work on that half in the living room (if feasible) so it doesn't seem so overwhelming. I can't wait to see the after pics also remember it's not all or nothing. :)

Haha very nice. Well I have completed 2 of my 3 so far. I drank all of my Water, did the stairs plus twenty five minutes in the fitness room (in my apartment complex) and I have brushed my teeth so I will not eat for the rest of the night. It isn't an option. *trying to hold on strong* Yay!

Lisa, how you doing?

That picture makes the mess seem much smaller. I have another bucket that size under my desk. I didn't finish it, but I worked on it for an hour, though it doesn't look any different. I did bring about 10 items to work that I'll take care of now. It's a start. Today I will empty my in-tray at work and actually work for how well they pay me :)

Okay I started with fruit this morning and even packed my lunch more fruit and vegetables. I also have my balsamic vinegar and olive oil for my salad. I have not drank any Water today(uh oh). I usually drink it at work . I go in at 2 and get off at 1045. I get about 64oz at work on a good day. Well I am off to work.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
