Newbie and Loving it

I had my surgery 1/27 B) and had pain but I think I worked myself up in my mind thinking it was ging to be the worse pain ever. Due to the gas there was minor pain/discomfort but when I realized that walking made it feel better I was ok. The surgery was on Thursday and I went back to work on Monday.

I have seen so many questions and answers on this site for banders and I have to tell you that all that information came in handy when I needed it...

I have had some discouragement as well. I lost a good amount of weight on pre-op of course that was due to all the liquids. Than my doctor slowly started moving me to soft foods - I stepped on my scale to find that I had gained 5 lbs. I almost lost it. I couldn't figure what I was doing wrong, considering that I was still between liquids and soft foods. I Protein Shake it in the am and when I get to work I have another shake around what would be snack time. For lunch it will consist of tuna/tomatoes and than maybe another shake or some chicken around 4ish when I start feeling hungry again.. This is usually what my menu is daily.. Some would think I would get tired of it BUT to tell you the truth it is easy. If I try anything else at this time I can feel it try to get stuck or it goes down slowly... I have read so many post on items getting stuck I am scared to even let it get that far.

Hopefully the scale will start moving in the other direction soon.. I don't regret my decision.. I will for always be happy that I am banded. I have to thank this forum as at my scariest times of wondering - I turned here and found my answers...Thanks EVERYONE :D .

Welcome!

Don't fret about gaining a bit of Water weight post op, just keep doing what you're doing and the pounds will slowly follow. You are in the healing phase after all, not the weight loss phase. Start getting a bit of exercise in and drink lots of water and the weight loss will be slow but steady.

Good luck on your journey,
