I am only 7 weeks post-op so am no expert, but I have found that all of the "rules" are really just guidelines and you have to tweak them to your body and lifestyle. I do what makes me comfortable and happy while using the "rules" at a guide.

Good luck! There is definitely a learning curve to this and you have to find what works for you and makes you successful. biggrin.gif

Yeah the biggest thing you dont wanna do is gulp, you dont want all that air and excess liquid on your swollen stomach. As long as you are drinking slow you are fine

thanks I take fairly small sips and never had much of a problem. I'm still waiting for this darn gas to leave a little left today but I'd love for the rest to disappear. I've walked like crazy so i've never really experienced any of the uncomfortable pain others described.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
