BandedJenny 0 Posted February 18, 2011 I got a fill on Monday and finally feel restriction. I feel great! That said, by the end of the day I end up with a sore throat. Is something wrong? I'm not vomiting, don't have reflux and I'm not getting sick. What is this. I'm also drinking plenty of Water. Oh, and because of the sore throat, I end up coughing at night. Huggles1951 1 Posted February 18, 2011 Maybe a bug maybe not. My surgeons office has a chart for bandsters and on the too full end of the scale is a list of symptoms that include night cough and sore throat (cause listed as acid reflux) so maybe you should mention it to your doctor. It's always better to err on the side of caution I think and then you won't worry if he says it nothing to be concerned about.
Kalipso2 25 Posted February 18, 2011 i didn't have acid reflux until after i was banded so i had no idea why my throat was sore all the time. i never mentioned it to my surgeon either and he continued to give me fills. it wasn't until the sore throats turned to coughing that turned to waking up choking on my stomach acid that i decided to call my surgeon. here i was overfilled and he did a slight unfill which stopped the choking at night but i still have to take an over the counter acid reflux pill.
