DAA 0 Posted January 6, 2006 <!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->Hello everyone, I plan on having my surgery about 3 to 4 months from now. Im starting to eat better now and take Vitamins. Can anyone recommend what I should be taking? Im 40 so I guess a Caltrate 500+D would be good to start with. Im confused about what Vitamin, there are so many and they have all different things in them The One A Day Womens has Calcium so maybe thats not good to start with, do I need Iron? Is just a regular multi vitamin ok? Its so confusing? If anyone can give me advice on what would be good for me and also what I can continue after my surgery. Thanks all of you, This board has been so helpfull!
NeenBand 7 Posted January 6, 2006 Great question! I was also interested in how to take Vitamins and supplements AFTER the band. I have to take quite a few because I have Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatogue syndrome. Taking certain supplements help me a lot. Like flax oil and B Vitamins.< /p> I was wondering how others take them? gentlespirit 1 Posted January 7, 2006 I am not banded yet, but I always take a multi Vitamin along with my prescription meds. I also started taking Melaleuca Vitality for Women (a multimineral supplement) and have really noticed a difference in the pain level in my knees. My sister recommended the Vitality...she's a nurse in a newborn nursery and is on her feet for 12-hour shifts; it made a big difference for her, too. I'm not trying to promote any specific brand...that's just what I use. And i'm sure it is helping my general health so will make recovery faster.
