Hi--

My name is Richard and I am a 59 year old psychologist/nurse prac who is scheduled to have the Lap-Band done on 3/2/2011. This is not going to be easy but ironically all the people who I have done the psych clearances done are my inspiration! Did the last of the pre-op stuff today, a chest x-ray. So I'm good to go.

Hello Richard! Thanks for sharing your experiences and I hope you let us know how your surgery goes. I think having your psychology background will help you because you are probably pretty self aware already and making this huge lifestyle change is all about being aware of your body. Incidentally, I have a B.A. in psychology.
