I was banded on 12/27.. Since then I have kept off 15 lbs but it is a struggle I am up and down a few pounds weekly , I feel like a roller coaster . I am as hungry as I was before the surgery but used weight watchers to keep on board and use less points as what I would normally do . so I am looking forward to this week . I however have had sticking already which I dont understand , Yes , perhaps I have eaten too fast and swallowed to quick without chewing , then again is that normal ? Rice , Toast , Some chicken .. it varies . vomiting is no fun and I am glad I know what it is like to "stick" I am just hoping that something isnt wrong .

So , I am waiting for the "non" hunger and then satisfied on a small amount to find me and reduce me to smaller sizes while learning .

Any suggestions ? Ideas ? How long before I see weight loss ? I am scared because I have been up and down for 6 weeks .

Thanks and Happy Valentines day to all !! :P

Same for me. I was banded 1/31, and my first fill will be 3/1. Can't wait! Right now I feel the way I did before I had the surgery, with no restriction. I have to struggle to stay on a diet to stop from gaining weight. It's the same for me as dieting before being banded. I'm keeping the weight off by substituting meals with Protein shakes. (pre-op diet)

Well I received 3 CC and I have to say it was rather uncomfortable.. I am hungry but not that hungry .. I ate soft today ,,,, scrambled eggs were too dry and hurt a bit . I have slowed down on my chewing and how much I place on a fork .

Its not quick and I am learning as I go too , so I am glad we have the forumns

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
