Silvermystique 1 Posted February 12, 2011 Hi. My name is Shelly. I was banded on 1/31/11. I'm currently on the "soft foods" stage in the post-op. I live in Johnstown PA with my fiance. We're getting married on 11/11/11. I've lost roughly 23 pounds since I started my pre-op liquid diet on 1/17/11. I like alot of different music, I love video games and quirky things. I don't really know what else to say. Um, hi all!

iTeach 0 Posted February 12, 2011 I'm new to this process, just saw your Tricare ins. on your file and wondered what was involved/required of you. I have been with Tricare for the past 22 years and know that they can be 'iffy' sometimes. Any information would be welcome. Attending an informational meeting this coming Tuesday. Thanks Hi there! Thanks I just made an appt. with my PCM, told him what I wanted and then they gave me a surgeon. Tricare called to tell me I was approved for surgery and then I had to do the pre-req tests required by the surgeon. It's very easy and quick.
iTeach 0 Posted February 13, 2011 One more question, was the doctor Tricare sent you to the one you wanted to do the surgery or did you have a preference? suzahhn 19 Posted February 13, 2011 One more question, was the doctor Tricare sent you to the one you wanted to do the surgery or did you have a preference? Initially they sent me the wrong type of surgeon so I had to call and change it. When Tricare was changing it over the phon, they told me I could choose which one I wanted.
