Keia 4 Posted February 12, 2011 My day finally came. I got two cc's today. I'm supposed to be on mushies for two days. I just can't bring myself to eat anything blended (blech). So I've been drinking Protein Drinks.< /p> I can't tell a difference yet. But I sure hope it makes a difference for me. My hunger has picked up tremendously. So I do the old Water trick (drink water, wait 15 minutes to see if you were hungry or thirsty). Anyway, here's to the future!

jengal74 0 Posted February 12, 2011 Hi, my name's Jen! I'm relatively new here, and I saw this post and was curious how big your first fill was. I was shocked when I saw all the bigger your fills were! My surgeons office put 6 cc's in mine on the first fill!! I just can't believe the differences between the doctors. It just took me by surprise when I saw how small your first fill was compared to mine! Not that that's a bad thing, it just kind of shocked me! It seemed to me like that was their standard practice for the first fill. I wonder how the different doctors choose how much they do at a time? Well good luck to both of you, I hope you get to your sweet spot soon! I don't think I'm there yet, but I definitely have some restriction, which is good. On the other hand I've had quite a few stuck episodes since then, too. I'm supposed to go back at the end of this month for another one, but I'm not sure what to do about that yet. Guess I'll see how it goes!.
zeniada 9 Posted February 12, 2011 6cc's!!! Thats alot of Fluid for the first time... but depending on your band size I can see that...I have the small 4cc band and only had fills with 1.5cc at a time then my last was .75cc's so I'm up to 3.75cc's in a 4 cc band... Oh, no, I don't want to be hungrier!!! My NUT told me that most people take 3 - 4 fills before they get to the right amount of restriction. I don't feel any restriction at all. I read on somebody's post that it was two weeks after their fill before they felt restriction. Ugh. This is not an exact science, but I sure hope it works! I haven't had problems with any foods yet. I had Pasta today; no problems. The two things that I love but haven't tried yet are popcorn and rice. Do you have any problems with foods?
mattie7632 24 Posted February 13, 2011 I also got my first fill 2 days ago, 2 cc's......It feels like perfect restriction for me right now. If it were always like this I would be great. I know it won't last as swelling will go down, etc. but based on this I don't think I want him to put too much in at a time. As far as the fill...I almost fainted. It wasn't particularly painful, but needles make me woozy, no idea why!
ThinSIstaSoon 2 Posted February 13, 2011 My doc says he fills until Water backs up and then he lets some out. When u feel it go down that's how much u get. Different for everyone that way. He also said do s fill based on a "recipe" type method and by doing that delay good weight loss by SEVERAL months. My first fill is scheduled for Mar 7th. We'll see and I hope I hit my sweet spot soon. He said most of his patients sit in the green zone for the first year or so by filling this way.
