Acadia 20 Posted February 12, 2011 It's normal to be hungry, remember that the first 4-6 weeks are for healing so don't count calories. Once you get to mushies or solids though you'll have to really minimize what you eat so it doesn't get stuck and so you don't get overfull too quickly. honk 780 Posted February 12, 2011 You're lucky that you can have yoghurt. For the first week I could have Clear Liquids and Protein Shakes. I had broth and then a couple hours later the shake. I did that for three meals. I would disagree about not watching calories at all. Believe it or not I have read of people having ice cream or McDonalds shakes because they were liquid! In general my Nut says to stay at 1200 cals a day.
HeatherinCA 10 Posted February 12, 2011 Have more shakes!!! I had 3 or 4 a day. Make sure you get at least 60 grams of Protein, that should keep you full, the pudding and broth have no nutritional value, so it's not going to satisfy you. For me, I had the shakes, then if I wanted to taste something else I would have broth or a pudding, but I didn't consider the other liquids "food"
mattie7632 24 Posted February 13, 2011 that diet sounds optimal for losing weight! A lot of little meals over the day! Don't worry, you will lose weight even if you don't this first few weeks.....
JerseyMom29 0 Posted February 13, 2011 I'm in the same boat. Not happy with the shakes and can barely finish one. Had a small bowl of cream of wheat, 2 yogurts, and a Tomato Soup today. I know I need more Protein but I don't know what else to have.
JerseyMom29 0 Posted February 13, 2011 Well my husband just ran out to the store and got me Muscle Milk Light to try. Not that bad. I can drink these I think. So hopefully I can get more Protein in me with these ready made shakes.< /p>
ThinSIstaSoon 2 Posted February 13, 2011 I like EAS soy Protein with 1/2 a banana and a cup of skim milk and ice. My bf likes it to! Keeps me full for 3-4 hours.
