I started off alright, protien drink for Breakfast, then had a chicken breast and about 5 fries for lunch. But then Karah wanted me to cook the Cookies that were in the fridge so i cooked them. Didn't eat any until later...but ate like 4 later. Then at supper I was too tired to cook, and Karah still isn't eating yet, so gave myself and the family a corndog and fries for dinner. I know its just plain stress eating. Karah's fever still hasn't broke and we went for xrays today and it's pneumonia. So now she is on antibiotics and we are just praying that her fever breaks by saturday. Otherwise we have to call the doctor, and will probally end up at the hospital because that would mean that she wasn't responsing to the antibiotics. I'm trying to prepare and pack like I'm still going to San Fransico on Sunday...but I just don't know. Have already called expedia where we got the ticket...and there is a chance I can get about 50% of the ticket price back if I have doctors statements showing why I had to cancel. Positive news, I managed to squeeze into a size 16w jean today. Most of my jeans are still size 20, I need to buy some 18 I guess...or wait a few weeks and buy 16?

I'm going to head to bed, just plain wore out. Will try to keep better track tomorrow of the food thing....the fancy diary I bought is still in the car lol.

Please forgive me if I don't participate for now. I'm not eating right. Let me get used to exercising regularly again, and then I'll start on the quality of what I eat.

I can't do this either, so don't sweat it. For me, it's just a matter of being able to keep up with what's in front of me. I keep getting brain farts and doing the mental wandering. Aunt Flo should be here by Noon tomorrow and I'm hoping I'll straighten out after that. I have been soooooo tired and frumpy and distracted and "lost" plus I have gained 5.2 pounds in 2 days? Geez. I'll feel better when I get all my organizing done. I'm a mess! No food journaling for me right now. BUT! I love reading what you all are eating! LOL

It isn't something everyone has to do...it helps me. I keep one with at all times. It kinda lets me see how bad or good I have been. I write how I feel after I eat because sometimes it helps go back find a day that I was really full and I re create it. So no biggie....it just helps us who want to do it. So come and read and then laugh at us for be so crazy....now you have to admit you find something good that you weren't eating and get it. ;)

Yes! Actually, I see what "good bandsters" are eating and it gives me ideas. Well, except Yodels, right?! LOL

Now, writing down how I feel after I eat something would be super duper helpful for me. I can think of 4 times over the last 2 weeks I have eaten, and while I'm eating, I KNOW I'm stress-eating and I just don't care. So, am I creating the stress so I can eat? Or do I REALLY want to find another/different coping skill to replace stress-eating. AND sometimes it's not so much stress-eating, it's rebellion eating. Know what I mean? sigh.

I gotta get unfrumped. I'm working on it. Promise!

Yesterday was more stress eating I'm afraid for me. I ate a slice of ham and 2 of the Cookies (they are alll gone now thank goodness) for Breakfast. At lunch I had baked fries (my excuse is that i was enticing Karah to eat) and half of a hamburger. dinner I was a little bit better I had salmon, some peas with pearl onions and a small salad. Oh...and when I had to go out to pick up Kristen at school, karah asked for and ice cream at McD's...so of course all three of us had one.

She was still running a fever as of last night, and I feel like a bad mom for even entertaining the idea of still going on my trip. The thing is....she acts like she is fine and wants to do everything thing that she normally does, she is just running a huge fever and hacking up her lungs while she does it. I've got her taken her anitibiotics, I was really the fever would be gone or at least lower by now. Currently I'm waiting on the motrien to wear off to see ifher fever comes back again, if it does I'm calling the doctor back.

Both of mine had the lung congestion illness, whatever was/is going around. Rachel actually had her lungs X-rayed and was diagnosed with walking pneumonia. She responded to the antibiotics very quickly. she took Zithromax. So did Tyler. BUT! Rachel also took liquid prednisone and I think that's what did the trick. We got Tyler diagnosed early enough that he responded fine without the steroid, but it really helped break Rachel up. She's fine now, a month later, but since being back at school, the cough at bedtime has returned.

Do you have a nebulizer machine for breathing albuterol? That's been helpful, too.

Don't feel guilty taking your trip. She won't get any sicker just because you go. She'll be okay. Cute as she is, I know she's hard to leave behind when she doesn't feel her best. Make a pact with her for regular phone calls. She'll be okay. have fun in San Fran! It's okay to have a good time! Who's watching the kiddos while you are gone? That's a big factor in feeling better about leaving, right? You'll have such a nce time! don't miss this trip, Melissa!

Saw my PCP & officially started my 6 month supervised diet 07/26/24. She just told me to eat less carbs & sugar, use the air fryer and not fry my foods in grease, and to try to walk 30 minutes 3 days a week & if I can't do that (and I cannot), to walk 10 minutes daily. Told me to walk fast enough that my heart rate is raised.  She didn't give me a number as far as calories though. A year or so ago I was doing low carb/sugar free and keeping my calories at 1800 or below. She said I should up my cals to 2000 at that time, so that's what I'm shooting for now.
Hubby walked with me today. He's in pretty bad shape so I was surprised he wanted to. We walked down the gravel road at a pretty good pace (for us LOL). 10 minutes walking and my heart rate was 115bps according to my Fitbit and 125bps according to his pulsometer. Either way, it was elevated and I was breathing hard. Doesn't sound like a lot, but it's a start. We'll do it again tomorrow. 😁
I should be hearing from the surgeon soon. She said if I didn't, to call him next week. Since I HAVE to do the 6 month diet & that's going to put me into January by the time it's done, I'm hoping the surgeon will let me do all my testing in January. I don't want to do it all now and have my deductible get met, only to have to pay the deductible again in January or February for my surgery. Praying that things go the way I hope. 🙏

Factors Affecting the Growth of the Alternative Sweeteners Industry:
Health Consciousness: The increasing awareness among individuals about the health issues linked to high sugar consumption, such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases, is supporting the market growth. Consumers are becoming more health-conscious and seeking products that can provide sweetness without the negative health effects associated with sugar. This shift in consumer preferences is leading to a greater demand for low-calorie and natural sweeteners like stevia, monk fruit, and erythritol. These sweeteners offer the added benefit of having minimal impact on blood glucose levels, making them suitable for diabetic and health-conscious individuals.
Technological Advancements: Innovations in the production and formulation of alternative sweeteners are impelling the market growth. Advancements in biotechnology and food science are leading to the development of high-intensity sweeteners with improved taste profiles and functional properties. Innovations in fermentation processes enhance the production efficiency and quality of natural sweeteners like stevia and monk fruit. These technological improvements are making alternative sweeteners more appealing to both manufacturers and consumers. Enhanced stability, solubility, and sweetness intensity allow these sweeteners to be used in a wide range of products, ranging from beverages to baked goods.
Consumer Trends and Preferences: Evolving consumer trends and preferences are playing a significant role in driving the alternative sweeteners market. Consumers are increasingly seeking natural and plant-based sweeteners, aligning with broader trends toward plant-based diets and veganism. Besides this, there is an increase in the demand for low-calorie and sugar-free alternatives that support weight management and overall wellness.
