smilinggirl 1 Posted March 7, 2011 I have a question for all you compture savy people...I made my self a weight loss ticker...that little bar thing that says how much weight you have lost BUT how do you imput your new weights so that it updaates with out losing your origional settings?? do you have to uploade it and put it on your signature every time? I used one in both of my pregnancies but that was easy because it automatically updated on its own everyday?! I was wondering the same thing. I gave up after trying to figure out how to post it! Hopefully someone can answer it for you.
Meloveme 1 Posted March 7, 2011 Hello March bandsters. Have surgery in the morning and am totally wide awake. Really excited and have been reading the forums tonight. My mom is here with me and we have both gone over the paperwork. You all are inspirations and best of luck to you all as we begin the journey. Cheers 1 Kristi Twisti reacted to this

fly4kidsrt 1 Posted March 7, 2011 I keep trying different things with the Protein Powder so that I have alot of choices starting next week. I put Creamy vanilla in my Decaf coffee, half a scoop and it made it so rich and creamy and delcious. Hope everyone had a great weekend and best of luck to everyone getting their band this week and starting their new life!!!

agdunkle 3 Posted March 7, 2011 I've been meaning to post.. I was banded on 3/3 with no problems! I think the procedure took about an hour, and when i woke up I had some slight abdominal pressure, similar to doing an awesome ab workout. I didn't think the pressure was enough to be subdued so I refused pain medicine. Within the first five minutes of arriving to my room I was up and going to the bathroom, and then up to walk around the wing every hour there after. I had the most soreness in my throat from the breathing tube during surgery, and my nurse was able to get me some spray to help. If I could give any advice it would be: WALK WALK WALK WALK WALK. Walking has helped my intestinal gas pressure as well as my NO2 pressure. I didn't have any soreness from the nitrous oxide. The more you move, the quicker you will start to feel better. I'm 4 days post op, and I'm back to work this morning with my drinks in tow. Good luck to everyone with their upcoming bandings! 1 Kristi Twisti reacted to this

agdunkle 3 Posted March 7, 2011 Kelli I'm only 4 days post op, and my belly still looks a little swollen, but when I went to the gym today to walk i was down 3 pounds from my surgery date. I'm having a hard time "drinking' more than 600-800 calories right now, I just feel full! I do try extremely hard to have 60-80 grams of Protein per day and at least 64 ounces of Water per day as instructed by my doctor. My belly looked pretty swollen until yesterday (3 days out) and it's starting to go down. I did receive two anti imflammatory shots before I was discharged on Friday but I would guess they're all out of my system now? To be honest, I sleep better now than I ever have! fly4kidsrt 1 Posted March 7, 2011 Hello! Im in Connecticut, My surgery date is March 24th. My surgeon is Ehrlich. Im definitely getting excited! I am a little nervous, since my husband is military he was only able to get 5 days off after my surgery, and I have one son who is almost 3. Those of you who recently had the surgery, how is your recovery? Are you able to do normal household chores etc,. around 5 days out? My surgeon has me on a 2 week pre-op diet, thats mostly the Protein shakes. However, what do you guys use? He has his own brand of shakes, but they are a little pricey, same with the Vitamins. There has to be an alternative. Any info would be appreciated! Good luck to all my fellow March 2011 banders!! Do you have a Vitamin Shoppe near you?? They have a really good Tropical Mango and a Creamy vanilla in their store and on their website you can often find a 40% off coupon making it around $22 for a large jar of the Protein powder. Best of luck!!! Check out some of my other posts here-I have been trying to post different things that I have tried with the Protein powder including putting it in my Decaf coffee. Jello jigglers from SF Jello have been a big hit with my kids to, so this way it is not so "strange" having these foods all of a sudden in our house that are for mom, they are now already part of our routine.
