zeniada 9 Posted February 9, 2011 So I'm sitting here getting ready for my fill on Friday when I calculate that I have 4cc'c in a 4cc band... That would mean that I am at capacity..But I dont have restriction and want it desperately. Is it possible to fill over the band's capacity? Would it rupture could it break if they put too much in?? Anyone know?
ElfiePoo 109 Posted February 9, 2011 Hey Zen...is it possible they can go slightly over the actual band limit since there's Fluid in the tubing? I dunno...just a thought. A 4 cc band? Wow...I didn't know they were still doing bands that small! .
spoiltmom 44 Posted February 9, 2011 I wonder that also. My band is 10 cc's but I'm wondering how much extra can they put in one without it popping. Anybody?

Want To Be Thin 0 Posted February 10, 2011 I have a 10 cc band. I ask my doctor that same question last year, and he told me yes they could go over by 2cc. At that time I was up to 8.5 got sick had 4 cc taken out. So I am scheduled to go not this fri but next fri to get another fill. I am only gonna ask for 2cc, do not want to be sick again. Humming Bird 275 Posted February 10, 2011 I think I heard the tubing can hold 2cc before it even reached the band. .......but, do we all have different lengths of tubing between the port and the band?

vickyd 24 Posted February 10, 2011 Does the person who does your fills withdraw all the Fluid before doing the fill? The reason I ask is that maybe you don't have as much fluid in as you think...I have heard that from other people on this forum...

Yes my Doc takes the fluid out and puts it back in Your right even though I have had 2 fills and 1 pre-fill it may not equal 4cc because of the tubing

DRP 2 Posted February 20, 2011 I have a 4cc band and they filled it and blew it! So to your question YES it ca happen. WOW! How did that feel? How did you know it burst? What did you have to do to fix it? That is really frightening! I also have a 4CC band, (from Mexico). I currently have 2.5 cc. DRP
Cocoabean 430 Posted February 20, 2011 My surgeon said they can overfill a band to a certain degree. Not sure how much, but some.
