HeatherGurl 0 Posted January 5, 2006 I decided to FINALLY start working on the tummy and last night tried to do some stomache crunches... It was somewhat painful... like sore from surgery still? DeLarla 22 Posted January 5, 2006 Go easy on yourself, take it nice and slow. My physical therapist gave the best advice on Earth for stomach crunches, so I'm finally doing them properly. Lay on the floor with your legs on the bed and your butt pulled in close to the bed, then cross your arms across your chest and lift slowly, then hold. It's the best way to avoid injuries. CaliQueenBee 0 Posted January 6, 2006 I am a little > 4 mos post op and I still have pain around my port area every time I do my ab crunches at the gym. I've been going about 5 times a week for the past 6 wks and the pain is getting duller, but I think it's normal. Keep it up and start slow. As you build the muscles and endurance it gets better. I was in a lot of pain when I first started and now it's just slight pain. Don't do anything to hard-core or you can cause damage. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
