Stay hydrated and if you cant eat during the day drink. do a Protein Shake but dont try to shove food down your stoma which is irritated from you vomiting so often.

If you are vomitting that much, you really need to consult your surgeon. That much vomitting isn't healthy for you or your band! My hunger increases at night too, but only when I am at home (I work nights) bored and get in a grazing mode. Please talk to your surgeon soon... he/she can find out what is going on.

Vomiting is *not* good. If your band suddenly became tighter, you've now compounded the problem with the vomiting which most likely has caused swelling and even more tightness.

My .02...I would go completely to liquids (and mushies if you can get them down without vomiting) for a few days to a week to get rid of any swelling. Then, if you're still having problems, get some type of unfill. It may not need to be much.

Remember, you're not trying to get enough fill to physically restrict how much you can eat. That way leads to an overfill. What you're trying to do is get enough of a fill to get rid of the hunger after a reasonable meal.

Good luck. :)

Get yourself to your surgeon. It could be that your band has slipped.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
