Maxelephant 0 Posted February 3, 2011 Hi my name is Nicola, I am located in Riverview, New Brunswick, Canada. Our system is a little different with medicare covering the cost of the surgery, however, I have been on a waiting list for quite sometime. I jsut had my first consultation with Dr. Beausoleil and it looks like I will be having my surgery in about eight months if everything goes well with the preliminary sessions that I am required to attend. I have to wait until March for the first full day introduction session. My family is not supportive of my decision, they feel that I look wonderful and do not need the surgery but I am tired of the mental energy that it takes everyday to feel comfortable with who I am and I am vertainly tired of the copious amounts of money that I have spent on weight loss attempts. thsisme 14 Posted February 5, 2011 Welcome and good luck on your journey to the band process. While you are jumping through hoops and waiting for your surgery date, do try to find some mechanism of support as you will need it through out the ups and downs of this process.
