Post op help needed...

One way to help with hunger is the space out your Soups (broth or Tomato etc depending on doctors' orders_ and the Protein Shakes. So Soup and an hour later shake. Personally this helped with both physical and head hunger.

Wow, we are really so different. i havn't had a single ounce of hunger since i was banded on wednesday.

I wonder why its so different for all of us.

I feel really lucky.

Amber I am with you I have only felt hunger on third day post op most of my hunger is in my head. I have forced myself to eat. I feel lucky in this as well but at times it contributes to me being nauseated when I have to force myself to eat.

I too was banded on the 27th and I am starving today. I have tried to pay attention to my Fluid intake I have had popcicles, broth, a shake, and i am literally starving... On top of that I am having horrible back pain. i hope that i can get the hang of this soon!

I was banded the 28th and I"m so hungry, I tried mashed and thinned black-eyed peas last night, it was fantastic and it was thin enough to go through a straw which counted it as a full liquid This morning I had to make myself drink a Protein Shake to keep hunger at bay, I think this may be the only way to hold it off for a few hours.

SN: Does anyone have staples? I was surprised to find staples when I took the bandages off after 48 hrs. I've had to put bandaids over them after showering because they rub my clothes and hurt :blink: My f/u appt is 9 Feb hopefully they'll come out without a problem.
