penelope68 0 Posted January 30, 2011 I was wondering if anyone has united Healthcare? I have just recently switched insurance to united healthcare and I'm wondering if they do cover the lapband. This is so important and I have successfully completed all requirements. Please let me know if you have any advice regarding this issue.
rowekins 1 Posted January 30, 2011 My work switched insurance companies from Anthem to UHC on January 1. The band is covered My advice is to stay on top of things with them. Almost all of my information transferred over, but they required predetermination and psych eval re submitted. What they told me is that the conversion is fairly simple as long as communication stays open. Good luck~

TanyaOwens 0 Posted January 31, 2011 I have United Healthcare. I called them directly and found out that they do cover the lap band if I meet all requirements. I have only the $300 co pay. Just waiting for my Primary Care Physician to get authorization from Insurance (guess they didnt believe me.....lol) and then I am on the road to Bandland
