carolann0117 5 Posted January 29, 2011 I've been noticing that I have an appetite in the evenings.... and this past week I haven't lost any weight. I'm schedule to see my Dr. on 2/12. I think I'm ready for my first fill. It really surprises me though.... I'm now only eating about 800 to 1,000 calories a day... yet I still don't lose weight??? I've started walking about 3 - 4 times a week. I wonder if I'm building muscle and that is out weighing my fat loss ... ?? I hope the needle doesn't hurt when I get the fill... I've seen other post info about fills and they all seems to say that it doesn't hurt.....but I'm still nervous!!

Cocoabean 430 Posted January 30, 2011 I was nervous before my first fill, but it was really no big deal. A bit of numbing medicine first then some pressure and a slight popping sensation as the needle enters the port and done. My surgeon has me sip some Water afterwards to be certain things are going down. My weight went down in fits and starts. After a fill I'd drop 4-5 pounds pretty quickly, then settle in for a few weeks, then drop a pound a week for a couple of weeks, then stable, then down 2, up 1, stable for a couple of weeks, then get a fill. My weight does the same thing after a fill...rapid loss then it tapers down then nothing then maybe 1 or 2 a week...it's been a while since my last unfill in Dec and I think i need another fill next month is possible we'll see...
