BethNewell 0 Posted January 26, 2011 In the pre-op phase of things. Started my liq diet last Thurs. already down 8lbs. Very exciting. I have't lost 8lbs in years!! Not too bad with the diet so far. I did wake up hungry in the middle of the night, but got through that. Not much support from my spouse which is disappointing but He has NEVER had a weight issue... UG very difficult to get across to anyone who has never been in this situation or even close to it. I saw my surgeon yesterday and things are on the go for Next Thursday Feb 3rd! I can't hardly wait to start this new journey, but I guess I have already started it. Any encouragement or good advice for a new band would be welcome. I thought the liq. diet would be terrible and how could I ever be satisified with it, but the Protein shakes help a lot. I have used a Tbsp of sugar free Jello added to the powder for some different flavors. Check with your dietician. you may be able to have cottage cheese low fat and Jello. it is pretty good.
