stateofzen 46 Posted January 26, 2011 This is my general schedule: 2 cups of coffee after getting up Protein Bar 1 hour after finishing coffee lunch Maybe a stick of cheese as a late afternoon snack dinner Notice what's missing? liquids other than coffee. I'm pretty sure I'd be fine on 3 meals and no snack if I could just make myself drink my Water. I definitely get dehydrated at times. I am really starting to understand why people equate drinking your Water with weight loss because a lot of the times I think I'm hungry (afternoon), I'm pretty sure I'm really just thirsty. muelle 64 Posted January 26, 2011 Let me start by saying, this is not typical and I have not seen any other doctors recommend what mine does. I am just sharing with you my experience. My doctor says don't eat if you aren't hungry and at 8 weeks post-op, I still have no hunger, so I only eat a small portion of lean meat every other day. Sometimes I'll have a little bit of a veggie with it also. Other than that I drink 1 cup of 1/2 decalf coffee, 4-5 bottles of Water (2 of them usually with Crystal Light), and 8oz of light soy vanilla milk. per day. Acadia 20 Posted January 26, 2011 Ideally three meals a day with two very small high Protein Snacks if desired (light Protein shake, cheese, egg, etc.). I'm a week and a half out and am averaging two meals and one snack a day. My calories are sitting between 600-900 and I'm not hungry after eating about 3/4 of a cup. I have 2 cc in a 10 cc band from a passive surgical fill (the Dr. puts a syringe with saline in the port but they don't push anything, they let the vacuum of the port pull in what it needs to balance itself). joatsaint 2,814 Posted July 27, 2015 Here's a typical day's food for me. I've been eating pretty much this amount everyday since my 1 year surgerversary. :-)
fitme 4 Posted August 6, 2015 (edited) I plan to use my band for Portion Control and to stop eating before I'm full. Meanwhile I want to use the knowledge that I was giving from several nutritionist and try to eat three meals and to small Snacks. And when I say meals I'm supposed to eat a half a cup so I'm probably going to only eat a third a cup. And my snack is going to consist of some type of Protein whether it's the serving of cheese, yogurt or Protein Bar. That way I don't go over my calories but I do keep my metabolism boosted. I'm going to see if that works for me and if it doesn't then I will try something else. Edited August 6, 2015 by fitme
