Stacyr 0 Posted January 23, 2011 I wish I had found this site before my procedure, because I think I was expecting to feel great today. I thought I was fully prepared for everything but found myself clueless today on what I should eat or drink. I had the Soups, shakes and Protein Drinks from the doctor, but just went blank on what to do with them. lol So today was just a gassy, mopey, miserable mess. It gets better, right? Blackbelt3rd 0 Posted January 23, 2011 Of course you'll start feeling better! You just had surgery! You aren't supposed to want anything to eat today, your not supposed to have any energy, you are supposed to lay in bed all day and take your pain medication. I layed in bed most of the week regaining myself. I didn't want to eat anything for 3 days. My husband brought me my broth and Jello and made me eat it. I was one of the ones who didn't lose much weight during the 10 days I had mostly liquids. I have to eat to make my metabolism kick in and then I lose. So, let your body heal a little bit before you start worrying too much about things. Then when you start eating solids, everything will fall into place the way it should. You now have a lap band....now you have to train your brain that your body is not hungry. It's a wonderful thing!
