Cant breat normal.

I just had my surgery on 1/18/11, and my breathing for most of the day is not normal...I have pain in chest area and want to burp so bad and it start to come up as if I am going to but then pain hits in and no burp... I have tryed gas x chewable and not wroking..If I take pain med's it helps but that it all most gone....Has any one had this after there lapband??

The pain could be gas pains from your surgery, but if you are having trouble breathing, I would call your Doctor IMMEDIATELY.

That really does sound like gas pain...get your Water and walk walk walk and take your gas x. It should go away within a day or so. If you can't breath...get to an er

wondering how you are doing today? Are you still having trouble?

I had my surgery on 1-21-11 and I am feeling the same way. Deep breaths hurt, mostly on the left upper side. I also feel as if I need to burp and no matter what I never do. I have not taken any medication. I am just hoping it goes away in the next couple of days.
