Mistyblue_73 0 Posted January 21, 2011 Hello, My name is Misty and I was banded 09/21/06. I started out at 278 pounds and got down to 163 by January of 08. My youngest child became ill and I could not even hold Water down so we took everything out of my band. Now that she is better I have been trying to get back on track. It has been a really hard process trying to get back into my good comfort zone. Some fills I feel tight for a few days and then its like nothing and other times its too tight and im ready to die. Today I am back at 199 but not ready to give up on my band yet because it does work I know this from the past. I think I just need some motivation in my corner at this point so thats why I am here I can't do this on my own anymore. Have a great day! Misty
annieM 2 Posted January 22, 2011 I know it is hard to regain the sweetspot once you've lost it. Hang in there! The band can be such a fickle friend. I had to have my band replaced because of a complication and while I waited to regain the sweetspot, I regained like, 30 pounds! It was so hard to lose it again...But, it can be done. Just keep up with the fills, keep them very small so you don't over shoot and get too tight. Avoid getting fills around your period when you get too tight anyway... Have you tried the South Beach Diet? It's very band friendly. I always recommend it to people who haven't reached the sweetspot yet because it does such a great job in controlling hunger and it's so heart healthy. It's very easy to live with. Also, immerse yourself into other non-food activities like crafts, reading books, exercise, etc., so you don't obsess on the scale which is going to move slowly (and that's boring. ) Good luck on your continuing journey, feel free to contact me,
