I am interested in lap-band surgery

I am 61 years old, 5'5" tall and weigh about 250 lbs. I have gradually gained so much weight in the last ten years but it has effected my health. I have sleep apnea, gerd, also a hiatal hernia, and an abdominal hernia for the second time in about 3 years, this one is bigger than the other one. I need that taken care of but because I am overweight I think I probably will get one again. I also take medication for high blood pressure, high colesteral, overactive bladder, depression, and copd. Would I even be qualified to get a lap band with these health problems? Another question is I am on Social Security Disability with medicare and medicaid coverage. Would I be covered for this procedure? Any responses from you are appreciated.
