HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!:P

I have been in New Jersey for a week and away from the board for a LONG time.

I miss ya'll. Hope you all had a great Christmas and New Years. I ate like a pig! And a fool. I've been eating even when I'm full. Not much past the full point but still...a big no no! I'm glad to be home and start back in my new normal regular life. I even had McDonalds today!!! But I had about a 3/4 of a burger a few fries. So I guess I shouldn't beat myself up to much. It's just this eating when I'm not hungry, like Im afraid I'm gonna miss something. Like the Cookies or candy will never be around again! AHH I guess it's time to call Debbie and check in.

Kim, I see V on the 5th also. 3:00 what time is your appointment? Also where is the picture everyone is talking about of you. I want to see it.

OK so now that I feel fat and full I do need to tell you all the exciting news for me. The day after Christmas I went to the store and brought a size 16 jeans!!! I totally skipped size 18. 2 weeks ago I brought a size 20 jeans and now a 16. I don't dae try on anything new for a few weeks now cause I feel like I will be back in 26's, but I sure am excited about my week old jeans!

So tomorrow I'm back to my Breakfast protien shake and making good healthy choices. Wednesday curves and if I get a chance I'm going to go by DDR..I got the kids (really me) Xbox for Christmas (not the new one). I'm looking forward to a fill on Thursday.

Have a great night everyone. This is our year!!!! God Bless:nervous

Hey Dianne it's so good to have you back...Hopefully everyone will be getting back soon. I am missing everyone.

The picture is on the before and after thread...I need to get the post # but I know if you go the the last page and start going back a page or two you will see it. It really helped get me back in gear. I am packing my lunches again and having good protien for Breakfast and measuring my food again. So I know what you mean about the eating. I am calling to set up an appt with Kristen today.

My appt is @ 3:30 Thursday...so I am sure we will see each other there. I am going to get a little fill - I am going to try and go back up to 2.5 so we will see. Once I started writing down my foods again I can see that I am eating things I shouldn't be able to...well I guess more then I should. I am not staying full as long either. I would like to loss 100 pounds total by the end of June. So I need to jump back on the "band" wagon and get it going.

Chat later hope everyone has a wonder Tuesday. :P

Hi everyone, home fromt he in laws and both kids are home sick. I got sick there. I'm very moody right now, spending time with my inlaws always does that to me. I swear my husband who is generally a great guy turns into a condecending ass around him mother. Though he claims I'm over sensitive and thats not true, he apparently acts that way all the time! LOL I made a comment at some point during the trip that I really needed to do some clothes shopping, since my pants are basically "big" on me. Later my mother in law asked my husband..."Is Melissa losing weight?" Well damn I've lost near 40lbs since she saw me last. I have special thoughts for my mother in law as you can tell. Not to mention that both christmas gifts we gave them last year were still sealed and unused! One was a teavana gift set...so hey...they aren't into tea...no biggie, I can get that. But the other was a shower head, a really nice one. We bought it because theirs SUCK. So I go to take a shower and theres is dribbling out and squirting out the wrong directions. I'm in the garage later and there sets the nice, still sealed shower head we gave them. I wanted to offer to put it up for them! LOL

She also made some comment that I thought sounded rather negative about her Sisters daughter in law who had gastric bypass surgery and in her words used to be a LARGE women and is now a size 8. That just confirmed that I shouldn't tell her about my surgery.

Diane they have a really nice pad at Best Buy, its really thick and padded. If we ever have to replace the metal pad we have we will probally go with it. The kids took their x box and pad to my in laws and played all weekend in the back room.

Happy New Year eveyone! I'm back from a quiet long weekend with my parents. Outside of my Dad coming down with some sort of respiratory gunk, everyone is doing well.

Yay! Everything is almost back to normal around here. I am so over the holidays. I felt so overwhelmed and had a hard time with the eating thing and no exercise. Kids got back to school today and my DH goes back to work on Thursday.

I go see Dr. B. on Friday and I am sure will find out when my surgery is. I hate it that I have to do this but it has to be done. Just one of those things you know? Oh well there could be worse things. I just hate that I have to start out the New Year like this. IT SUCKS! And I ate my Black Eyed Peas too. You would have thought good luck would have came my way? lol :P

But just wanted to say Hello and Happy New Year to all of you. I can't wait to see you girls at the end of January. Hopefully I am all recovered and ready to go by then. I will keep you updated. Ah, It's so good to be back to normal around here! :)

Wow, I wish I felt back to normal already. It's sloooowly happening here. I stuffed myself to the gills on New Years Day at my Mom's. What's odd is that I felt so Thanksgiving satisfied and my only guilty pleasure was a second cornbread muffin! I had two thin slices of pork roast, two small ladles of black-eyed peas, about as much steamed cabbage, and 2 cornbreads. Then a small slice of pie. Not NEAR as much as I would have had pre-band. And I had some Wheat Thins with cheese for dinner, a Boost for breakfast, that's it for the whole day. Wow!

So, Happy New Year everyone! 2006 is gonna be great! I just gotta get organized. Maybe I'll start a FlyLady Challenge or something. Look for a new thread? Later tonight. See ya taters!

Maybe we should tell each other what we eat everyday as a check list/ support/kick in the A$$ when needed thingy. OK I need the kick!

Dwn here they have hoho's in NJ they have Yodels. Yodels are 10 times better than hoho's Instead of buying 1 package while I was in NJ I brought a box.....

So this morning I had protien shake, chickfila cutlet no bread maybe 4 fries. Then a YODEL!! a pickel (someone on this site said that if you want something sweet have a pickel. Piece of brie cheese. mini applesause cup/sugar free, about 20 peanut m&m's, piece of garlic bread, less that 1 cup spagetti, mostly meat sause, glass of milk (the only time I drink when I eat is with milk and spag-gets) Then guess what I had another yodel!! (GAve Garry 2 so there are only 2 left TGodness) I feel like a jerk for eating such garbage!

Melissa, your MIL sounds lovely!!! I would have offered to put up the SH if I were you. It sure sounds like you made the best decision not to tell them! I'm going to look for DDR tomorrow hopefully. Sometime I'll have you all over and we can have a DDR Party, or just a party.

Anything new Karen?

Kathy, My house is a desaster!!! And part of me really doesn't care.

Sherrie, I am getting my winter erge to paint. You are over 2 hours away from me though.

Kim, I'll see you Thursday. I can't wait for a fill! By then the Yodels will be gone..yippie..

Angie just think how good your going to feel in 2006!

Let me know if you guys want to do a food list on a separate thread or if you think it's a good or bad idea.

Tomorrow I'm going to take 2 customers out to lunch at a local resturant. My goal is to have DS finish the Yodels tonight when he gets home so that there is nothing in my way to distract me.

Have a good night,,,di

OMGosh! I can't believe you bought a whole box of Yodels!!! What were you thinking?! LOL Okay, lady, get those Yodels behind you and move forward. Post your food choices for the kick in the A$$ you need. No more Yodels! Actually, I'm one NOT to give you a hard time about Yodels. You need that crap on occasion. One Yodel is NOT horrible. It's the BOX I can't believe you bought! Can't you just buy one or two? Don't Ho Ho's come in a 2-pack at the gas station? GIRL?!! Anyhow.

Okay, so with all this talk about getting organized, I visited Flylady and her Body Clutter book is out! I have been waiting for it, and if I had been reading my journaled e-mails, I'd know it. So I ordered it! I'll post a review.

Okay ladies, what are you doing today/this week to get organized? I'm catching up on the ironing today, then by Sunday I will have this THIS very desk at which I'm sitting cleaned off. I'm making NO promises about what the floor will look like when I'm done :D but the desk will be clean and organized. I'll deal with the floor later. It's about baby steps.

I'm excited to see you all this month. We have Magic and Denika (maybe) coming? Someone call Starr and raise H*!! with her for dropping off the face of our earth. lol What happened to the new girl?! Remember she posted saying she lived in Ballentyne and was banded and looking for local support? What IS her name? Jennifer should come, she's having her RNY soon.

I just love you guys. 2006 is gonna be great! Plus I weighed 186.8 this morning. Not a new low, but I hadn't seen it a quite a few weeks!

Dianne/All,

No news yet from doctor or insurance. I'm trying to be patient, but with the holidays no longer here to distract me, it's getting harder.

I'm going back to my PCP and back on antidepressants. I'm not doing so good in that realm right now.

I'm rejoining the YMCA today; that's good news.

What can we do to help? Cyber (((((HUGS))))? Hold on. Go to the Y and get some exercise in. Don't neglect your prayer life. Journal. Memorize a new Bible verse...you know the one, you come across it and go "Dang, that's one I need to memorize...why don't I just memeorize that one?!" Well, now's the time. ((hugs)) Karen!

Thanks Kathy!

Frankly, I believe I am one of those people with a bonafide chemical imbalance in my brain. I have absolutely no reason to feel this way; I am tremendously blessed! My life is seriously great! Yet, I feel like crying for no reason and now almost constantly.

I have an appointment with my PCP (Internist) next Wednesday. During my surgical evaluation, the psychologist admonished me to be aware of depression when told her I had stopped taking meds. I thought I was going to be OK, but I can't function like this.

Alright lady di...I am up for a local food thread. Lets start it. I do journal my food again it helped me when I first started then things got crazy in life and I stopped. So I started back on monday so I am a go for this.

Karen...hang in there girl. It will all be ok!!!! Have faith..which I know you do. If it wasn't so expensive to change my Y membership to be able to use out of Concord I would but it's alot more money. Maybe I can get a buddy pass and go with one day. Well that is if you are talking about going to the one here uptown.

Kathy I think that other ladies name was Jamie (now I could way off on this one). She had her surgery in Ashville. I had a few emails from her I need to find her again.

Also babysteps on the cleaning out - I am attacking the kitchen table tonight. 15 mins a day right on a hot spot. My kitchen is first. That is where we should meet everynight as a family. :D

Angie - hang in there girl. You will feel so much better once that thing is out of there. Keep us posted as to when it is. Mine was out patient surgery back in 99...but if you have to stay over night I can pop in and visit you. Northest is very close to me.

Melissa - agreed - glad you didn't tell you MIL. MIL can be that way. I didn't tell mine until a few days before I had the surgery. Since she is here I had to tell her because I see her alot.

Question - do they sell those dance pad things for playstation2? I am really out of the loop when it comes to electronics other then the PC.

Yes they do...I have the playstation 1 version that will play on your playstation 2 if you want to borrow it to give it a try. Diane, i have one non pirated copy of the xbox version if you want to borrow it. We aren't currently playing either of these versions. I'd let you guys borrow dance pads if I had an extra, but I'm sure you will love it once you get the hang of it. Its alot of fun and you don't even realize you are exercising. Diane and don't let your kids take over the ddr once you get it. LOL I can't keep my kids off it.

Saw my PCP & officially started my 6 month supervised diet 07/26/24. She just told me to eat less carbs & sugar, use the air fryer and not fry my foods in grease, and to try to walk 30 minutes 3 days a week & if I can't do that (and I cannot), to walk 10 minutes daily. Told me to walk fast enough that my heart rate is raised.  She didn't give me a number as far as calories though. A year or so ago I was doing low carb/sugar free and keeping my calories at 1800 or below. She said I should up my cals to 2000 at that time, so that's what I'm shooting for now.
Hubby walked with me today. He's in pretty bad shape so I was surprised he wanted to. We walked down the gravel road at a pretty good pace (for us LOL). 10 minutes walking and my heart rate was 115bps according to my Fitbit and 125bps according to his pulsometer. Either way, it was elevated and I was breathing hard. Doesn't sound like a lot, but it's a start. We'll do it again tomorrow. 😁
I should be hearing from the surgeon soon. She said if I didn't, to call him next week. Since I HAVE to do the 6 month diet & that's going to put me into January by the time it's done, I'm hoping the surgeon will let me do all my testing in January. I don't want to do it all now and have my deductible get met, only to have to pay the deductible again in January or February for my surgery. Praying that things go the way I hope. 🙏

Factors Affecting the Growth of the Alternative Sweeteners Industry:
Health Consciousness: The increasing awareness among individuals about the health issues linked to high sugar consumption, such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases, is supporting the market growth. Consumers are becoming more health-conscious and seeking products that can provide sweetness without the negative health effects associated with sugar. This shift in consumer preferences is leading to a greater demand for low-calorie and natural sweeteners like stevia, monk fruit, and erythritol. These sweeteners offer the added benefit of having minimal impact on blood glucose levels, making them suitable for diabetic and health-conscious individuals.
Technological Advancements: Innovations in the production and formulation of alternative sweeteners are impelling the market growth. Advancements in biotechnology and food science are leading to the development of high-intensity sweeteners with improved taste profiles and functional properties. Innovations in fermentation processes enhance the production efficiency and quality of natural sweeteners like stevia and monk fruit. These technological improvements are making alternative sweeteners more appealing to both manufacturers and consumers. Enhanced stability, solubility, and sweetness intensity allow these sweeteners to be used in a wide range of products, ranging from beverages to baked goods.
Consumer Trends and Preferences: Evolving consumer trends and preferences are playing a significant role in driving the alternative sweeteners market. The growing demand for clean-label products, which are healthier and free from artificial ingredients, is offering a favorable market outlook. Consumers are increasingly seeking natural and plant-based sweeteners, aligning with broader trends toward plant-based diets and veganism. Besides this, there is an increase in the demand for low-calorie and sugar-free alternatives that support weight management and overall wellness. Food and beverage companies are responding to these trends by innovating and expanding their product lines to include options sweetened with alternative sweeteners, thereby catering to changing tastes and health concerns of modern consumers.

Various regulatory bodies are approving alternative sweeteners for use, ensuring their safety and efficacy. These approvals provide food and beverage manufacturers with the confidence to incorporate alternative sweeteners into their products. Additionally, initiatives like sugar taxes in several countries are pushing companies to seek healthier alternatives to traditional sugar.
Furthermore, advancements in production techniques are making some alternative sweeteners more cost-competitive than traditional sugar. Consumers are becoming more concerned about the environmental impact of traditional sugar production and preferring more sustainable alternative sweeteners.
