Hi! I'm really kind of nevrves about this because I realize that this is my next and final step. I'm 23 years old and have recently married my high school sweetheart about 9 months ago. Before that I lead a really active life. I high school I was in JROTC and played sports. After I graduated and decided to take a break for a few years...I guess the pounds started creeping on. See I've always had a problem with weight since I was little but have managed to control somehow. However, once adulthood and all the resposibilities that came along with it started, I never noticed the size 14 going to 22. I started working 50-60 hrs work weeks and spending the rest of the time being a 'social butterfly'. My husband and I were married not to long after and we ended up moving 3 times within a year so I wasn't to particular when it came to fast food. We have been stationed overseas in the Netherlands for 5 months now. The part that gets hard is that now I'm kind of forced to led a solitary life because now I have put on so much weight it has become physically painful to even walk for extended periods of time. I am unable to even sleep on the same bed with my husband because of the bed 'dipping' on my side so much and the breathing problems I have started having. I am 23 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weigh 372 lbs, and have no children. My dream of becoming a mother as of right now can NOT happen because of the health risk that may happen during the pregnancy and unless I can control my weight motherhood for me will never happen. My career as a EMT is not a possiblity. I have tried to work out and change my diet but the weight just isn't coming off nor are my knees and joints handling it well.

I guess what I am trying to share with you all is that at this point in my life...I'm scared. I have Tricare but I have no clue where to begin. I don't even know if I would qualify for something like the Lap Band. Which doctor should I see? Any good websites or even support would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
